      For the podcast?
A couple of reasons – firstly, I think there are sport psychology podcasts out there already aimed at adults but nothing I have seen for younger people. I think that if you can get young people interested in a subject that is crucial as then they will want to go out and find more for themselves. It would hopefully also help young sports people to be able to understand more about how what is going on in their brain is influencing how they perform.
Also, from a scientists point of view – I think that all scientists should learn how to explain their work so that someone who is ages about 12 will be able to understand that. It can be a really challenging thing to do but it really helps the scientists to make sure they really understand their own work and can communicate effectively. So I think it would be good for those people who I would ask to contribute to the podcast.
Finally – although the podcast would be aimed at school age pupils and students, it would be suitable for anyone to listen to and hopefully learn from!
