Yes I think I always liked science – I was always really interested in how the world around me worked.
At school I definitely always liked biology more than physics or chemistry because I could see more clearly how it directly impacted on me. Having said that, when I was younger my family couldn’t afford to go on holidays abroad so my mum and dad would take us to interesting places in the UK and we would learn things about caves and mountains. I remember setting up a weather station in my garden because that really interested me, and I had a collection of crystals I grew. So I guess overall I liked all different types of science, even though at school it was mostly biology and how the human body worked that interested me.
