      Hi Rohan!

      I’ve been at Imperial for a bit less of a year now. After you finish your PhD, and if you want to stay in academia (doing scientific research), you usually do what is called a postdoc. Postdocs are 2 or 3 years position where you get to do science at different places and countries before you go on to apply for more permanent positions like reader or lecturer.
