      So many things! but the most interesting so far I think is how symmetries play such an important role in how fundamental particles interact with each other.

      Symmetry is a sort of pattern, a property that tells you that there is some underlying arrangement such that if you transform something in a certain way, it always looks the same. Think of it as how you can rotate a ball and it always looks like a ball. If the ball is painted with the same color, you can’t even tell it rotated at all!

      So there are areas of math studying symmetries and what objects you can construct that look the same if you transform them in certain ways. It is very close to the idea of geometrical beauty and it does explain a lot of experimental results from super cool ideas.
