      Small particles like electrons or photons can behave like waves. But they can also behave like corpuscular particles! This was a big puzzle for physicists for a very long time. It turns out that particles can behave both as wave or corpuscular particles depending on the situation. This is called the particle-wave duality and is one of the fundamental phenomena in quantum physics. Have a look at this too if you have time:
